The Biology lab at PM SHRI KV Santragachi is a highly equipped and well stocked laboratory. The idea is to enable hands on learning by the students, “learning by doing”, being the motto of our Bio lab.
The laboratory provides the students with all the facilities, ranging from specimen to innovative smart board. The laboratory is quite spacious and is creatively decorated by the students. We have permanent anatomical slides of plants and animals with two simple and twenty compound microscopes. The ratio is 2 students per microscope. The Laboratory has a variety of apparatus, physical balance, digital balance for physiological and ecological experiments. The lab is supplied with chemicals and other apparatus for students to carry out their experiments. Through experiments students can gain first-hand knowledge and appreciate various concepts of Biology.
Chemistry lab is highly equipped and well stocked laboratory. The idea is to enable hands on learning by the student’s “learning by doing” being the motto of our chemistry lab.
The laboratory provides the students with all sorts of facilities, ranging from different chemicals to innovative smart board. The laboratory is quite spacious and is creatively decorated by the students. In the Chemistry lab, modern equipment like, digital balance, magnetic stirrer without hot plate, distillation set, Kipps apparatus, melting point apparatus, burette, pH measuring apparatus, and atomic models are there and the lab also has a variety of different types of latest chemicals. The lab provides opportunities for school curriculum experiments and investigatory projects and through these practical experiences, students are able to gain first-hand knowledge and appreciate various concepts of chemistry.
The physics lab in Kendriya Vidyalaya is a hub for scientific inquiry and discovery. Equipped with modern instruments and safety measures, it provides students with hands-on experience in exploring the fundamentals of physics.
